China Cat and I received our Secret Paws gift!

The doorbell rang and I had to run and hide under the bed because the doorbell means someone might come in my house. But no one came in so I carefully made my way back to the living room.

There was a big box and it was just for us! I was sad when my Food Lady said that we couldn't open it up right away. She said that we have to wait until it's Christmas. I am going to guard it until it's Christmas!

China Cat and I kept watching the box and now today is Christmas Eve. Hooray! That means tomorrow is Christmas and we get to open the big box!

I think we should have been able to open it as soon as it arrived...

My tent was warmish!

China Cat & I wanted to go out and spend a nice day in the porch. We thought that it looked like it would be a warmish kind of day. We were mistaken...

I had to go inside my tent since it started getting colder and windier.

But I still had a fine nap in my tent before going in for some lunch!

Here I was in my current favorite sleeping spot on the end of the couch. I like to be there so I can watch my Food Lady and see if she goes into the kitchen. Well, wasn't I surprised when she came over and put some stuff on me. Very festive stuff, I might add!

Wait a minute, I think that stuff just might be the cape and hat that my Food Lady tried to put on China Cat!
I decided to ignore it and see if it would go away... It didn't go away so I turned around and pulled it off my side. I didn't need a blanket on me in the air conditioned house! What was my Food Lady thinking??? Hmmm, maybe it's a cat toy for me. The star has little blue ribbons around it. Cat toys sometimes have ribbons... Woo Hoo - I gave it the bitey!
If my Food Lady thought that she was dressing me up she was sadly mistaken, indeed!

Mardi Gras Time

My Food Lady said that I would be able to dress up for Mardi Gras today without actually having to wear a costume. So I told her that would be OK with me but do I still get some feathers to play with? She said that she would play with feathers with me after she made my picture! I love to play with feathers!

First, I want to thank everyone so much for all the purrs and prayers for me.
CB purrs are the best! I am feeling better today!

I had to go to the v-e-t on Monday afternoon because I still wasn't eating very much and I threw up a couple of times - ewwwwww, I hate doing that! My Food Lady was very worried about me and kept hugging me and kissing me.
~~~~~
I was sleeping in bed when my Food Lady came in to see me again. Much to my chagrin she picked me up and pushed me into the dreaded PTU! She noticed that I just barely fit in there now - I think that it's because I am a very tall cat. I howled for the 15 minutes it took to drive to my v-e-t but I was very quiet when we went inside. I was glad that there weren't any dogs in the waiting room. In fact, I was the only one there! My Food Lady and I went into a little room and a nice lady came in and talked with my Food Lady about my not eating problem. I just nervously sat in the PTU. The nice lady then tried to pull me out of the PTU. She had to turn it up on it's side to get me out. Once I was in there I didn't want to come out. She weighed me and I found out that I now weigh 15 pounds. I don't think that is so big - like I mentioned, I am a tall cat! After she let me off the scale, I got into the sink and snuggled over against the side of it. I'm not looking at you right now, Food Lady! Then my v-et came in to see him. He seemed very nice until I had to come out of the sink and he took my temperature. I had to growl a little bit at that! He poked and prodded me all over and said he would need some parts of me for testing! I didn't like the sound of that at all. He had the nice lady take me into another room without my Food Lady. She stole my blood from me and squeezed my tummy for more samples. I hated that and my Food Lady heard me howling. I know she didn't want me to be there because she was crying. She was very worried about me. After giving me some sub-q fluids and a nutritional thing, they finally gave me back to my Food Lady and she took me home.

We had to wait until 6:00 last night to find out what was wrong with me. My v-e-t said that there was some very good news; I don't have diabetes! But he said I have to lose 3 pounds. My bloodwork was pretty good except my pancreas levels were a little bit high. He said he will call my Food Lady next week to check up on me. And he told me that I shouldn't have any more rotisserie chicken! I love rotisserie chicken but I hate going to the v-e-t so I'll try not to beg too much!

When I got home, I went to bed and China Cat was waiting for me. She was worried when my Food Lady took me away in the PTU, after all I'm still her "kitten" and will always be. See, she even put her paw on my back to make me feel better! Today I'm going to find sunspots to sleep in and hopefully get all better! We all truly appreciate everyone sending over so many purrs and prayers!

I watched my Food Lady

On Wednesday I showed you a picture of me up on top of the refrigerator watching something. As a Wordless Wednesday I couldn't tell you what I was watching! But now I can explain what I was watching...

My Food Lady heard a crashing noise in the kitchen and ran in to see what it was. I had just jumped up from the floor to the telephone table to the top of the refrigerator when she arrived. "Hmmmm, what happened here?" she said looking around the kitchen. She looked down at the trash bag all tipped over and then she looked up at me settling in on top of the refrigerator. "Willow, do you know how this bag tipped over?" she asked me. I know when to keep silent and I simply looked at her and smiled.

That is when I got to watch my Food Lady clean up the trash!

My New Chair

China Cat wanted me to help her find Spring because she is tired of it being so cold. I went over to the window but I couldn't see Spring coming yet. I found a great place for me to wait for Spring to get here. This recliner chair really belongs to that little guy who comes over to visit all the time. He is my Food Lady's grandson and I usually hide under the bed when he comes over. He is almost two and wants to play with me - I do not play with children and in fact, I hide under the bed when adults come over too! However, I really like his chair and I like to sleep in it when the little guy isn't here...Like now!
P.S. I finally got to open my Secret Paws presents
and my Food Lady is getting the pictures ready!

Farewell Dear Friends

In the Window with Tabby

I'm glad that my Food Lady put this nice cushioned stool in front of the window for me. Whenever she leaves the house I like to sit here and survey my kingdom while waiting for my Food Lady to return. You can see that I have a little tabby cat named Tabby that sits here with me. My Food Lady dressed up Tabby in a patriotic outfit for the summer because of Memorial Day, 4th of July Independence Day and Labor Day. Tabby also has a witch costume for Halloween, a Santa costume for Christmas and a bunny costume for Easter.Oh, look, there is my Food Lady now!
I had better run over to the door to see her!
I am so happy that she is back home again!
Do you think that she'll give me some treats???
I was such a good kitty guard while she was gone!!!

Easy Like Sunday On The Rug

I jumped up on my Big Janitor Dad's lap and was making muffins and enjoying his company until he decided that he was done sitting in the recliner. My Food Lady had just been about to take a picture of us enjoying our Sunday when my Big Janitor stood up. My Food Lady said hey I wanted to take a picture of the two of you. So my Big Janitor gently knocked me over and rubbed my tummy so that we could get some pictures. OK, they were only pictures of me but check out that tummy!

It's extremely hot and humid outside today. China Cat and my Big Janitor Dad really like hot and humid weather but my Food Lady and I don't like humid and hot much at all. We decided to stay inside where it is air conditioned instead of outside where it's 98 degrees Fahrenheit!

On the couch with me is the roller that my Food Lady uses to remove my fur from her clothes. I will never understand why she doesn't want to enhance her clothes with my beautiful white fur. Especially since she wears a lot of black and my fur looks terrific against a black background!

I like the way that the roller smells and my Food Lady rolls it on me sometimes. That's what we did and then it was my nap time in the nice, cool, air-conditioned family room!

Friday In The Box

It's raining today. China Cat went back to bed but I decided to lay down in front of the sliding glass door to watch for bunnies and chipmunks. The problem came when it got really bright outside and then there was a huge boom! I am terrified of thunder so I had to run and hide under the bed!

After a while I thought it was safe to come out. I snuck down the hall and into the family room. There wasn't any more thunder but right there in the family room I found a lovely yellow box. I'm sure that my Food Lady must have put it there for me! I jumped right in to see if I would fit in it! Look at me - I do fit in it! I think it might be a good napping spot... Maybe it will be more comfortable this way... Oh, look there is my Food Lady!
I bet that she cannot see me snuggled up in my yellow box.
I turned my laser eyes bright yellow to match the box!P. S. Happy 55th Anniversary to my Grandparents today,
they are my Lap Lady's parents!

Today is my Gotcha Day!

My Food Lady brought me home from the Humane Society
when I was only 2 months old. She said I was Adorable!
And tonight China Cat and I get to share a special treat
called Fancy Feast Appetizers for Cats.
The label says that it is "White Meat Chicken & Flaked Tuna Appetizer in a Delicate Broth" and I think that sounds very yummy, indeed!

Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates Easter today!
My Food Lady put this Happy Easter sign on the couch before she took it outside to put on the magnetic sign holder in the front yard. When she saw me watching her over the sign she thought "what a great photographic opportunity to get a picture of Willow with the Happy Easter sign" and she hurried to get her camera. I thought that it was a great idea too so I waited for her to get the camera and let her take my Easter picture! Then I got to go out in our screened-in porch and watch 3 ducks swimming in our pool top! I meowed very loudly at them so that they knew who was in charge here!

My New Napping Playing Place

You are right if you guessed that it is a Christmas Garland. Now even though Christmas was like a squillion days ago, my Christmas Garland is still out in my living room. When my Food Lady took the Garland down and set it on the living room rug, I found it. I sniffed it and then rolled around on it. I liked it a lot. In the afternoon the sun comes in the living room window and I curled up on the Christmas Garland and took a nap. My Big Janitor Dad kept telling my Food Lady that she needed to put away ALL of the Christmas decorations. But after I brought over my catnip banana with me to the Christmas Garland and my Food Lady thought that I was so cute... She let me keep the Christmas Garland out for a while longer!

So that is why I am so happy with my Food Lady;
It's almost the end of February but I still
have my Christmas Garland!

My Food Lady's Water Glass

My Food Lady has a very favorite water glass. It says, "No, you can't have a sip." on it. I like water and I like to try to get sips from her water glass when it is on the coffee table. Wait, shouldn't that be called a water table... My Food Lady always sets water glasses or tea cups on that table. Maybe it should be a tea table? How confusing for me! Anway, here I am being very sneaky... I can see my Food Lady on the couch watching TV. I don't think that she can see me. Before my Food Lady can notice and react,
I quickly stand up and stick my face in her water glass!!! Mmmmmmm,
Can you see my pink tongue in the water glass!
I finally got to share water with my Food Lady!
I even had more than a sip!

Both China Cat and I have received our Secret Paws packages in the mail! I don't know how we will wait until Christmas to open them.

We just mailed both of our Secret Paws packages to some wonderful cats... but I hope that they will get them by Christmas time. My Food Lady was a little slow on the packing but as you can see, we both snoopervised and made sure that all the presents were good cat presents for Secret Paws! I think that my Secret Paws will love these Temptations!

Here I am, looking for that new little guy that keeps coming over to my house. My Food Lady calls him her Sweet Grandbaby and Little Pooky. That's not what I would call him but no one asked me... He is part of the reason that I don't get to blog as much as I did before... sigh...

See, behind me is something that he sits in. Sometimes he is quietly playing but sometimes he is loud and he tosses toys on to the floor. These are not cat toys and I am not allowed to play with them. At first, I was afraid of him but now that I know that he cannot escape that saucer I like to sit on the couch and watch him. He likes to watch me too!

Saturday Caturday Fun for Me

I love to be way up high on top of my refrigerator. That's where my water pitcher is and sometimes I just like to sit up there. The garage door is to my right and when my Food Lady leaves the door open to bring Groceries and Treats into the kitchen, I can see all the way down to the street.

Today I was looking at a fly that came into my kitchen. You can see by my eyes that he is up by the ceiling and too far away for me to pounce on him or swat him down. Well, I couldn't reach that fly and it is pouring down rain so I don't want to go out in my screened-in porch. My Food Lady decided to make a fantasy picture for me.

See, it's me but now I am outside looking at leaves and a pretty heart-shaped balloon. Maybe it will stop raining soon and I really will go out and see leaves and balloons!

Almost My New Box

My Food Lady's laptop crashed to the floor and broke the monitor. My Big Janitor Dad tried to fix it but so far it just is NOT fixable. He told my Food Lady that the hard drive is OK so all of our pictures are still safe - whew, we were all relieved at that! So my Big Janitor brought home a new laptop for my Food Lady. She took out the laptop to look at it, and I jumped right into that box! See how I am showing her how much I like this box! I told her to look at me - I fit perfectly in this box!
Well, it wasn't to be...
My Food Lady found that the new laptop wasn't strong enough for her Photoshop program where she makes pretty pictures, so the computer had to go back into it's box and back to the store.

My Food Lady get another new stronger laptop but it didn't have a good box. It was just skinny and flat. It made me a little bit sad...
I wish that we could have kept this nice box.

My Food Lady was reading the newspaper at one end of the couch so I walked over her and went down to the other end to take a nap. I am not a lap kitty with my Food Lady but I like to be with her. See how big I am - I can use the space on a whole cushion all by myself. I was happily snoozing down here when suddenly there was one of those blinding flashes that always wake up cats. My Food Lady told me that she couldn't resist taking a picture of me all stretched out and showing off my white floofy tummy. Wow, what a huge yawn!
Can I return to my nap now???

Toesday Today

Time to enjoy seeing my perfectly aligned toes!

Here I am sitting on top of the refrigerator where I have my water pitcher. Sometimes if I am lucky someone will come in from the garage and leave the door open so that I can look out. My Food Lady thought I looked so cute she quickly got the flashy box, after telling me to stay where I was and not move. I could see somebody walking with their dog outside so I was happy to just sit inside and look out!

Anyway, my Food Lady loves the way I align my toes all in a row. This is how I almost always sit so I don't know why she still gets so excited about it...

Noisy Sunday Morning

This morning I went out in the screened-in porch to enjoy some fresh air and look for birds and bunnies. I was under the couch looking at a robin through the screen. I heard a noise behind me and quickly turned around and came out from under the couch. It was my Food Lady sitting on the rug. She wanted to take a picture of me looking at the robin but I didn't know that when I came out. My picture is a bit blurred because I was walking toward my Food Lady. I sat down and listened...
There was a noise that wasn't there before... Excuse me, Food Lady,
did you hear that noise??? It is kind of a shrill barking type of noise. I know that two little dogs live over that way. Now those noises are getting louder! There is a deep barking noise back there.
So far I count at least 2 little shrill barking dogs on the right,
2 medium barking dogs on the left... and now there is
a really loud big dog barking behind my house. There is the big black dog that started everybody barking!
He is new around here and he sure likes to bark.
My Big Janitor Dad thinks that he is just visiting.
I hope it's just a visit - I like my porch quieter than this!Here is a collage of my Noisy Sunday Morning.

the house to hide under the bed!

My Food Lady was in her office so I thought that maybe she would help me blog. I jumped up on her desk and tried to get her attention. She just kept doing some work that had nothing to do with my blog. I needed to take drastic action to get her to notice that I was here and waiting to blog. I had a brilliant idea... I rolled around and turned my head upside down. That was working so I then showed her my tummy and I started purring very loudly!

She told me that yes, I could blog today!
But she wouldn't share her strawberries
or her glass of water with me! Look, my Food Lady even put me into a pretty picture!
I am so glad that I got her attention today!

Five years ago my Food Lady and I met at the Humane Society. I was the last kitten left after my two other siblings were adopted first. My soon-to-be sister-cat, China Cat needed a kitten. Samantha, the One Who Came Before, had recently gone to the Bridge. My Big Janitor Dad and my Food Lady were afraid China Cat was lonely. I was so happy when I went to my forever home - China Cat is the best ever sister-cat!

Easy Like Sunday Morning

I really like to sit in the front window. From here I can see birds, bunnies, squirrels and chipmunks. I also see people and dogs walk by my house. My Food Lady surprised me by putting this gray cat bed here for me. She was laughing at me because I kept licking my cat bed. What's wrong with that??? I thought that it tasted good. China Cat always licks my head - I guess I taste good too! Lately what I have been looking for out the window is an Orange Intruder. The Orange Intruder looks kind of like China Cat but it's not her and I don't like the OI to come up on my porch. He or she usually comes by when it gets dark. then I jump at the window and yowl very loudly. My tail poofs up really big and I start panting and yowling some more. That is what happened the other night at 11:00 p.m. and my Food Lady wasn't happy that I scared her. But then she told me what a good kitty I am to protect the window from the Orange Intruder. We are trying to get a picture - well, my Food Lady is trying to get a picture. She'll have to take it when I am not looking or I'll scare the OI away before we get a picture! Well, my house is safe today
so I guess I'll go see if I can have a snack...

Today I finally get to blog again!

Two weeks ago my Food Lady's parents drove here all the way from California. It wasn't Christmas so I wondered why they came to visit us. Maybe they missed us so much that they had to come visit with us for a while. Last year I enjoyed laying on my Grandpa's lap a few times. My Gran likes to read and when she sits in the recliner in the living room, I keep her company by laying on her legs. She was happy that I was keeping her warm. She told me that it is warmer in California than it is here. But then last Wednesday my Food Lady, Big Janitor and my Grandparents all left us alone...

They came home to sleep and then they all left again - sometimes for hours. My Food Lady didn't even help me make my Easter picture. And I was missing visiting all my friends - I hope that everyone had a Happy Easter!

Anyway, my Grandparents left on Monday morning, my Big Janitor went on a business trip Tuesday morning and my Food Lady was gone all day Monday, Tuesday and yesterday. But now I know what all the visiting was for...

My Food Lady and Big Janitor's daughter, our human sister Darling Daughter (DD), had her very own little baby boy last Wednesday, April 8th and he got to go home on Easter Sunday. I didn't get to see him but my Food Lady has been taking lots of pictures of him. I might be able to show you a picture of him - my FL will ask DD if that's OK with her. My FL says that Darling Grandson (DGS) is adorable and he already has Lots of hair on his head!

Well, I miss sleeping with my Gran
but China Cat lets me sleep with her in the recliner now.
I keep her warm too!See me smiling!
I think that we will get to visit more soon
and I am thankful for that too!

Tail and Tongue Tuesday

Drinking water on top of my refrigerator is something that I do everyday. I'm the only one who can get up this high so the water pitcher is all mine!
See, you can even see a reflection of my tail through my water pitcher. I am taller than my Food Lady when I am up here.
I think that I will wink at my "little" Food Lady. Actually, I am even taller than my Big Janitor Dad up here! My water pitcher used to belong to my BJD but he didn't put water in it. See, the writing on the pitcher... mm hmm it used to be a beer pitcher. For St. Patrick's Day my BJD and FL used to put
green beer in the pitcher, but not anymore!
I don't want green beer in My Water Pitcher! I think that water tastes better up here...

a nice drink of water from my bowl. Suddenly I heard China Cat meowing loudly.
China Cat was calling my Food Lady.
It's usually me who is in the kitchen
calling my Food Lady - because she gives us food, of course! But then I heard them talking about me...
That's odd. I didn't do anything.
I was just enjoying some fresh water. I turned around and saw catnip all over the floor.
I sniffed the catnip and it smelled really good.
I like finding catnip on the floor. Wait a minute...
I don't know who put the catnip on the floor... Wasn't Me!

Look, I found a bag in the kitchen! Usually if there is a bag in the kitchen, something good is inside. Today is my 5th Birthday so maybe there is a birthday gift in this bag. I think that I will have to check it out... OK, I am all the way to the bottom of the bag... Hey, there isn't anything in this bag...
But bags are still fun to play in anyway! You didn't forget my birthday is today,
did you??? I know that my Food Lady would never forget my birthday! She just says we have to wait until later to have what was in the bag.

Last Sunday my Food Lady and my Big Janitor went over to their friend's house to watch something called the Super Bowl. I felt like I was totally being neglected. I haven't even been able to blog since my Food Lady's Birthday on January 28th. Then she doesn't even stay home with me on the weekend! Aren't moms supposed to stay home with their kitties on the weekend?!?!?!?! Well, my Food Lady said that there was a special show on that I would like to watch. Wow, she was right! I got to watch Puppy Bowl V on the Animal Planet channel and the half time show was lots of kittens! My Food Lady took my picture while I was watching the puppies all playing together. She taped the show so I can watch the Kitty Half-Time show!

I like watching puppies because there are two little apricot-colored toy poodles that live next door to me. They wear matching sweaters and they like to play together on my front lawn. So I get to watch them from the bedroom window! Their names are Suzie and Sadie and maybe I can show a picture of them sometime!It's time for Weekend Cat Events!

Hooray - today is my Food Lady's Birthday!

It snowed last night and this morning there was some snow in my screened-in porch. It was kind of fun to go out and look at it. But it was very cold and I still had some breakfast to finish so I ran back into the kitchen. After breakfast I like to jump up on top of the refrigerator to have a drink of water out of my big water pitcher.

After I had my drink I walked over to the other side of the refrigerator and thought to myself that I didn't remember seeing my Big Janitor Dad wrap up my Food Lady's presents. Oh no, what if he forgot to buy them? I don't want my Food Lady to be disappointed on her birthday. I had better go find him and make sure that we are ready for the party later! China Cat and I also made a card for my Food Lady. We wanted to let her know that we were thinking about her and give her suggestions as to what would be fun to do on her birthday!

Sunday in the Window

Ever since the Christmas tree was up, I have enjoyed sitting on this stool by the front window. The stool used to be over by the rocking chair but it wouldn't fit when the tree was up. I hope that my Food Lady will leave the stool by the window. I think that she might because a lot of times when she comes home she sees me sitting here, waiting for her to come home. That always makes her smile!

When she is leaving and goes to the garage, I sometimes run over and jump on the stool and watch her go out of the garage in her car. She always waves to me and says she won't be long. Luckily for me, she is always home by dinnertime!
In fact, I am sure that it is about dinnertime now!

Thinking on Thursday

I found this wonderful box just the right size for me to lay down in. So I got my paws in it and lay down thinking how nice it was that someone left a box in the kitchen. I was thinking that 4 x 6 frame must mean that someone with 4 paws could nap in the frame box for maybe 6 hours! That sounds great to me! Wait just a minute...
I think that my Food Lady is laughing at me!
Hey, I do too fit in this box and now it's mine!
Stop laughing... Well, that ruined my nap...
Now I'll have to find a larger box for my nap.
Then no one will laugh at me...

My Food Lady went outside to get the mail and much to her surprise, there was a box on the front porch and it was addressed to me! She brought the box in but, unfortunately, made me wait a few days to open it. She said that she wanted pictures of me opening the box. I just wanted to open the box!

Well, I finally got to open that box. I even had to wait for my Big Janitor to watch me open it! Who cares now, it's mine to open!!!
OK, my box is open but I somehow cannot figure out how to get all my gifts out of that box. China Cat suggested that if I let my Food Lady tip it over, then I will be able to see all my gifts.

When my Food Lady tipped the box over for me,
all of my gifts poured out! Woo hoo, there are mousies and Temptations! I'm glad that I put Temptations on my list,
as I LOVE Temptations... And Toys were on my list,
I LOVE toys but don't know where to start! Miles Meezer even sent me a beautiful card!

Vishus Deer in my Kitchen

Last week I was wondering what was in the big box in my kitchen and I thought it might be a vishus deer. A lot of you also guessed that it might be a vishus deer. We were right - there were two vishus deer in my kitchen!

I tried to be ever so brave and I ran right up to that vishus deer.
I yowled at him and made a lot of noise to scare him away.
He didn't even move!

I ran to the bedroom to tell China Cat about the vishus deer.
We cautiously snuck back to the kitchen,
but the vishus deer were gone!
~~~~~
China Cat told me that she thought that I made it up
and she went back to bed.
I know I didn't but where could that vishus deer be... I patrolled around the house
and then I remembered that some cats said that vishus deer
like to gather in the front yards of juicy young cats!
I quickly ran to the living room and
I jumped up on the stool by the Christmas tree.
When I looked out the living room window.
I couldn't believe what I saw...........There they were!
Whew, I'm glad that they are out of my kitchen.
I really need to go get a snack now!!!

I think that maybe I will ignore her for a few minutes and then casually walk to the kitchen for my treats. I'll try not to appear too eager for her attention and my treats.
