New Year's Eve for Us

China Cat and I heard that it is New Year's Eve tonight. So we were looking out to see if it was another fun holiday where good cats get presents delivered to them. But there was nothing outside. So we didn't know what the big deal is about tonight.
~~~~~
~~~~~
~~~~~
But then we got some treats
from the Christmas Treat Jar
that the Grandma gave us for Christmas last year.
Everyone was talking about all of the football games
all afternoon.
Then the Grandma brought out some shrimp
that we each got to taste
but we just sniffed it. We like tuna better!
So I curled up in the corner to sleep - Christmas was more fun!
Some More Christmas...
Some of my favorite Christmas toys are the bows...
(I simply tolerated the festive gold necklace
that was placed around my neck!) What???? I like bows!!!!!
More Christmas...
More and more Christmas pictures of me!
Christmas Morning
Here am I looking for my Christmas presents
on Christmas morning...
I think that there might be something
in here to play with...
You can almost see the green and white snowman toy in the bag...
Don't worry - I definitely got my new toy out of that bag!
Then I had fun playing with the bag!
Corvette Tree Toy
I was looking at all of the lights in the tree
when I turned around and saw the red car...
I just tapped it a little bit and it moved back and forth...So I whacked it with my paw...and it really spun around... I became a blur I was moving so fast
with that Corvette Tree Toy!!!!!
It's My First Toesday!
I've been trying very hard
to get some good pictures done of my toes.
But usually my toes move so fast
that the pictures are always blurry.
However, I trapped the camera strap and held on tightly
so it wouldn't get away from me.
Therefore that was how I finally have, in my opinion,
an excellent showing of my toes!
I'll have to remember this strategy.
snow goose
I don't know where this goose came from...
but as I was just watching... what was going on in my back yard... doing a little patrol work when, much to my surprise...suddenly I saw a squirrel!
I looked so ferocious sitting up that I don't think
it will be back in my yard any time soon!
More Christmas Toys for Me!
OK, maybe I shouldn't have been looking
for more toys before Christmas...
But clearly they were not well hidden,
so must I take the full blame??? Although I guess it was fairly obvious
that it was a new unused toy
since it was still tight against the cardboard backing
with which it was attached...
So the only thing left for me to do was RUN!!!!
No really - It wasn't me...
Cousin Alice's Widebody Wednesday
I asked my Cousin Alice if I could put a picture of her on my blog. I kind of forgot to tell her that it was for "Widebody Wednesday" but as you can well see, Cousin Alice is a perfectly formed cat for our theme of the day. Just don't tell her!!!!! Her mamakitty (she is my Food Lady's daughter) says Cousin Alice gets extremely insulted if any of her friends suggest in the least that Cousin Alice may have a bit extra weight on her. Then Cousin Alice has to give them the evil eye.
Tummy Tuesday
This is a mousie that I found in my Food Lady's office.
It was supposed to be for Christmas
but I found it and she let me keep it!
I did, however, look a little bit guilty when she found me
as you can probably see here!
But since I was so cute while gently holding the mousie
and I showed her my tummy,
I was irresistible.
The Reindeer Game
I tried the reindeer game too and I am Rudolph.
You Are Rudolph
Sweet and shy, you tend to be happiest when you're making someone else happy.
Why You're Naughty: You sometimes stick that nose where it doesn't belong
Why You're Nice: Christmas would be a sad affair without you!
Just Relaxing...
Today I was just hanging around on the recliner,
not doing much, just thinking...
When suddenly, there goes the Food Lady's
flashy thing right in my face!
And so I just looked the other way.
I don't think I have to be "on" all the time, do you?And on Friday, check out all the other cats on the Friday Ark!
Weekend Cat Blogging is being hosted Saturday by Belly Timber And Sunday you will find Carnival of the Cats #142 at The House of (Mostly) Black Cats.
Wacky Wednesday
I was looking at the other Wacky Wednesday pictures
and found the great wacky picture of Missy Blue Eyes
drinking water out of a glass.
~~~~~
It reminded me of a picture that was taken of me last Christmas. See the Dad (aka the Big Janitor) put his beer pitcher filled with water on top of the refrigerator for watering the Christmas Tree.
I however discovered it up there
and proceeded to claim it as my own.
So it has been my private drinking bowl for almost a year now!
China Cat never jumps up as high as I do - so it's all mine.
My Food Lady said that it could stay up there
because I liked it so much -
the Dad totally disagreed but she won that time.
Lucky, Lucky Me!!!

Tuesday Tummy Time

Here I am playing with my mousie.
It hangs from the library door
and it even makes squeeky noises.
Sometimes I play with it at night
when everyone is sleeping.
But I don't get in trouble
because they think I'm really cute
when I play with my mousie.
~~~~~
Hey, I just realized no one ever gets up
to watch me play at night!
Oh well, they like to watch me in the daytime anyway.
Here is my tummy showing when I roll over.
You knew that I'd eventually get to the tummy!
I tried to help the Rams...
My Food Lady likes to watch
the football games with the Rams.
Today they were playing the Cardinals. So I was trying to help by showing
how they should pounce on the Cardinals. I demonstrated by circling around
and putting the bitey on my toy cardinal
while on a Rams blanket.
~~~~~
The Rams didn't pay attention though
and the Cardinals must have done the pouncing. So after that My Food Lady looked
at all of the weekend cat blogging pictures
and that made her happy.
~~~~~
Cats rule over rams and cardinals!
Too Cold
I am just waiting to see how much snow we will get today. It was raining all day yesterday, then it turned into sleet and next was supposed to have been snow all night. All I wanted to do was go out into my screened-in porch to patrol for all the creatures out there who shouldn't be in my yard but it was TOO cold! My Food Lady said it's only 22 degrees out - whatever that means.Maybe I'll just go back to bed until later when the sun comes out. I think that should warm my porch right up, don't you think??
More Tummy Tuesday
Now this one really shows off my tummy.
But see how I can stretch it way out long
so I look like one skinny kitty!
Tummy Tuesday
I am sharing Tummy Tuesday
with my sister-cat China Cat Sunflower.
~~~~~

We were both enjoying the sunshine after lunch. When the Food Lady came looking for us, she woke us up.
So what could we do except begin grooming! After she took pictures of us, China Cat left to find some quiet sun to sleep in and I went out to check for birds and squirrels in the screened-in porch.

Willow Warholized

The Food Lady decided to see what I would look like
in different colors.
I don't know why -- I think that I already am
the perfect colors for me.

Climb I Did

When I first came to live here, I still had my front claws. And, boy could I climb. Even though I don't have my front claws anymore I can still get up to high places; i.e. refrigerators and entertainment centers.

Thanksgiving Photo Shoot

Mama, the Food Lady, decided we needed pictures taken
before we could indulge in Thanksgiving Dinner. Little did I know at the time our dinner would not be served for about 8 hours past picture taking time. She didn't let me know that while I was trying to be cute and adorable for the holiday pictures, she was leaving to go have dinner at grandma's house! So I am getting away from these pumpkins now. What if there isn't any food in my bowl?????But Mama left bowls of food for both of us to tide us over until the Big Janitor brought her back home. I made sure that China Cat shared her bowl with me. Luckily China Cat doesn't like to eat as much as I do. Also, if I transfer over to her bowl she cleans up the mess that I make on the floor. I don't like to eat off the floor even though the Food Lady bought
placemats for our bowls.

My Own Blog

I am so excited about having my own blog. Mama had been putting up pictures on her blog sammawow of me and China Cat. But now we get to have our own blogs. My sister-cat China's is here but I think that mine will be the best one. I do love China though. She has taken care of me since I came to live here with her. Sometimes she washes me too much though.

I wanted to get a picture of me up right away so everyone can see how cute I am. I really am not quite so serious as I appear in this picture. But I didn't want to spend a lot of time looking for the perfect picture. Mama (aka "the Food Lady") always tells me how pretty I am so she thinks that most all of the pictures are perfect! Daddy (aka "the Big Janitor") always has to see new pictures of me. He doesn't think that I am as wonderful as the Food Lady does but he loves me anyway.
