Tummy Toesday and A Road Trip

Happy Tummy Toesday to Everycat!
Our food bowls are in the corner of the kitchen
so I can be found sitting here a lot of the time!
I'm not in corner because I was bad - I'm just hungry!
With this close-up you can see how I like to neatly line up my toes.
Sometimes they are in exactly a straight line.
That always makes my Food Lady smile and say how cute I am.
This position also shows off my floofy tummy!
China Cat wants us to join Lucky's Road Trip
so I wanted to make sure that I eat first before we go.
Eating has always been a high priority of mine!
I'm also packing lots of Temptations
to take with us for all of our friends.

Cherish Meme for Miss Peach

Adan started this Cherish Meme for Miss Peach.
We are all praying and purring that she feels better soon!

Hey, everyone, this time, I decide to start this cherish meme, here are some ways (depends on which person you write), and bring our love to Miss Peach~! She always makes us know what love is!

1. tell us what is the most sweetest warm thing you will do to your mommy (what is the sweetest thing that your kitty will do to you)
2. And, hug your mommy, tightly... (and, hug your kitty....tightly...)
3. Tag your good friend...
4. Leave your computer, and continuing hug each other...

Every morning I lead my Food Lady into the kitchen so we can have breakfast. She fills my bowl and China Cat's bowl with our favorite crunchies. Then she makes green tea for herself - she takes the tea and some yogurt over to the couch to read the newspaper. I always sit right next to her, waiting for my turn to finish her yogurt - I love yogurt!
When I hear her car coming into the garage, I run over to the door to wait for my Food Lady to come in. She always kisses me and tells me how cute I am. Then she gives us our dinner. Sometimes we go in the porch after dinner, if it's nice out. We always get some Temptations for a treat before bedtime. I always sleep up at the top of the bed next to my Food Lady's pillow. I think that I have a very good life and I love my Food Lady!

Sweet Saturday - I received an award!

I hope that everycat is having a Sweet Saturday.
The calendar says that today is "Sweetest Day"
- I'm not sure what that means
but it sounds very nice, indeed!
Oh, China Cat found out why it's Sweetest Day
and she explains it on her blog!
Honey P. Sunshine
was sweet enough to give me an award.
She loves reading my blog!
Thank you ever so much, Honey P.!!!
I want to pick Mindy from Team Tabby for this award
because I enjoy reading about her too!
And we look alike!
Mindy's brother, Moe, is a ginger tabby
like my sister-cat, China Cat!

Another one that I want to pass this award on to
is my NOMSS friend
He actually has already received this award once
from his good friend,
Stan of the Republic of GooberStan.
However, he has such a fun blog to read I wanted to let him know
how much I like reading about his escapades!
You also might enjoy reading Stan's blog too!

Spots, Stripes or Splotchy?

The theme for this weekend's Bad Kitty Cats Festival of Chaos
is Spots or Stripes.
Well, I am somewhat spotted and somewhat striped!
Actually, since my spots are really more like splotches,
I am not exactly spotted. I am splotchy?!?!?
I don't know if I like the sound of that...
My most prominent stripes are on my tail,
although some of my splotches are striped...
Look at my tail - I'm going with stripes!
Go and find who else is spotty or striped at The Catboy's Realm
where Kashim & Othello are hosting all the Bad Kitty Cats!

Thankful Thursday

I am ever so thankful that Fall has finally
come to the midwest!
This morning it was about 55 degrees, but sunny.
When a bit of a breeze came up,
I went right into my tent for the first time this Fall.
It's a great tent!

Fun Friday with a New Toy!

China Cat and I entered
Dragonheart's Scavenger Hunt Contest
and guess what?
We were two of the winners.
Dragonheart sent us our prize in the mail and it's here!
I really like envelopes
because they usually have some tape on them.
I am one of those cats that really like tape...
Anyway, I was so excited to see what was in the envelope.
Wow, it's a Curly Lamb with catnip!
I went right for that catnip bag - yum!!!
My Food Lady had to take it away from me
so she could put it into Curly Lamb.
I liked the cardboard that Curly Lamb came on.
I can certainly be a Cat With An Attitude!
I was playing with Curly Lamb
but then I was momentarily distracted
by a bird flying by the screen.
I really like Curly Lamb... Curly Lamb smells very catnippy... OK, let's play some more... Dragonheart, thank you so much for Curly Lamb!
By the way, the note that came with Curly Lamb
said that he came from The Animal Rescue Site
and when he was purchased 14.0 bowls of food
were provided to animals in shelters.
Isn't that terrific!!!

My Tummy, Toes & Tail Today...

This is my favorite rug to lay down on
and watch over what is going on outside.
You can see my reflection in the window
and, of course, tummy and toes...
nsm* tail because I am upon it!

*not so much -- my new favorite achronym!

Also, my name did come from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
as Willow was on that show.

I found this very interesting...

But how do these phrases come into vogue? It helps, of course, to have a celebrity standard bearer. For the phrase "not so much," that would be Stewart, host of Comedy Central's "Daily Show." He famously gives the words an expert, drawn-out delivery, pausing to consider whether the subject at hand passes muster before nailing it with a "not so much."

Though the phrase has become widely identified with Stewart, it appeared on several other television shows dating back to the early 1990s, including "Mad About You" and "Friends." But it didn't achieve widespread popularity until the beginning of the current decade, when it began to appear on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

It sneaked into the vernacular by becoming what linguists call a "camouflaged form" of speech, said Michael Adams, professor of English at Indiana University and author of "Slayer Slang: A Buffy the Vampire Slayer Lexicon."

"It would be very easy for it to migrate, because it would change its meaning just a little bit every time it got used until suddenly it was that dismissive not so much.'

Pinpointing exactly when that transition occurred is difficult, if not impossible.

Adams says that even a phrase as distinctive as "yada yada yada," which was hailed by many as a creation of the television show "Seinfeld," turned out to have been used by the comedian Lenny Bruce in the 1960s.

While Buffy may not have coined "not so much," the show's language was unusually experimental and influential, including such neologisms as "afterness," "heart-of-darknessy" and "suckage."

Before its writers tackled "not so much," they had already pushed "so" and "much" into novel roles.

"We so need to get out of here," a character would say at a precarious moment, or "Morbid much?" when another dwelt on gory details. Before long, "not so much" was a regular part of Buffy's linguistic arsenal.

"You've changed," Buffy once said to a character whose appearance had improved after he got his soul back. "Not so much with the crazy."

And when another character said, "Willow's good at all that computer stuff, but me, not so much," a thousand punch lines, online quips and newspaper headlines followed.
